Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Global Political Nexus accepts unpublished research and review papers in the topics below:

We insist that authors are careful to write in English, seeking help of skilled professionals, so that the text is within the standards of international publications. If English is incompatible with the standard of quality, the text will be corrected, with the costs borne by the authors.

All submitted papers will be reviewed by the technical experts (reviewers) from the same field. The review may take three to four weeks.

Authors should use the correct template Global Political Nexus

There are several things that authors should pay attention to:

  • Abstract must contain research objectives, methods, results and importance of findings.
  • All in-text citations must be cited in the reference list and all sources in the reference list must be cited within the article. At least five (5) of the references must be from reputable journal articles found in database such as sciencedirect.com.
  1. Submission of Article

Before submitting the article, authors should register at the OJS website as author and follow step by step. Authors should be following the journal template (can be downloaded from the website, placed on the right side).

  1. Preparation for the article
  • The article must be original and not have been published in other publishing media (including blogs), and are not sent simultaneously to the media or other publication.
  • Article length: 4000 - 5000 words
  • The title of the article must be specific and effective, consisting of 9-14 words (in Bahasa) or 7-10 words (in English or other foreign languages).
  • An abstract consisting of 150-200 words written in a single paragraph, followed by key words (keywords); and consists of two languages (in Bahasa and English or other foreign languages).
  • Body text: Georgia 11, single space
  • The contents of the article should be:

(1) have relevance to the needs of the teaching-learning process in the field of international relations; (2) related to global and strategical issues such as diplomacy and foreign relations, international peace and security, international political

economy, international business and organization, and also globalization and strategy; (3) are closely related and/or in accordance with the fields that had focused by the author, either in the form of a theoretical essay, methodological essay, summary of research results or scientific reviewer; and (4) pay attention to the objectivity of the substances and also to the norms of scientific methods.

Article writing:

o Avoid ​bullet points and numbering​ (lists), for example:

  1. ....
  2. ....Instead write: (1) ..., (2) ....

o The article is written in elaborated essay. Therefore, avoid using sub-headings.

o Make specific reference to each figure, graph and table used in the article. Refer

to each figure or table in the text by its figure or table number.

o The conclusion of the article is written in paragraph, not in bullet points.

Editorial staff have the right to edit articles without the author's knowledge, without changing the substance and the principal ideas of the author. The

process takes the whole time between the publication date (October and March). The editorial process consists of: (1) double review process from peer

reviewers and editors; (2) editing (both content and writing technique); (3) layouting; (4) publishing.
